Our training courses provide attendees with all the necessary information and knowledge to ensure their safety. They aretailored to provide the right information relevant to attendees role and risks. Course content are delivered simply, in clear jargon-free language.

Kadec is a registered member of the UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA). All our courses are certified under UKATA standards and all certificates issued display the UKATA logo.

There are 3 different types of training provided:


Asbestos Awareness Training

This level is required for everyone who is liable to be exposed to asbestos as part of their day-to-day work, to reduce their risks of exposure to asbestos. This involves a wide range of personnel, and includes specific trades:

  • General Maintenance Staff
  • Electricians & Plumbers
  • Gas Fitters
  • Painters & Decorators
  • Carpenters & Joiners
  • Plasterers
  • Demolition workers
  • Construction workers
  • Roofers
  • Heating Engineers
  • Air Ventilation Engineers
  • Telecommunications
  • Fire & Burglar Alarm Installers
  • Computer (IT) Installers
  • Architects
  • Building Surveyors
  • Shop Fitters
  • Other such professionals

Asbestos Awareness Training can be provided over any 4 hour period at the client’s chosen venue.

Non-Licensable Asbestos Work

This level is required for everyone who is knowingly going to disturb any ACM, to ensure the correct control measures, precautions and procedures are in place, in order to prevent the spread of asbestos. This includes demonstrations on safe operation of specialist plant and equipment as well as selection of suitable PPE & RPE

Non-licensable training is provided over a 8 hour period at the client’s venue.

Regulatory Compliance Awareness Sessions for Senior Managers or Dutyholders

This is required in order to understand their legal obligations for statutory compliance and the duties they are required to carry out. To minimise an organisation’s risk of prosecution or compensation claim it is critical that these regulations are understood and complied with. Being unable to prove compliance could mean you remain liable.
